Sailing with Grandpa + Thank You Mr. Rogers

What matters most to you?
For me, it's relationships. Watching a lot of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood and Sesame Street as a kid left me deeply imprinted with the importance of friendship. Living 5,200 miles from my core tribe for a year has amplified this even more. While I've lived abroad, different friends & family members showed up in different ways: Skype calls, hand written letters, texts or even visits. Across the seas, they helped me stay mentally afloat through the long winter. In thanks for this, I recorded a 23-minute talk called The Power of Relating. Like all our recordings, it's free and offered as a gift to help you create a more heartful, rich and delighted life for yourself. Enjoy!

When summer arrived....
I was a little surprised! Frankly, I wasn't sure it would. Long dark winters aren't my thing and I was concerned this one might go on forever. Yet, I will admit the *wow* on the other side of Swedish winter is spectacular. Add some sailing
around the islands off the coast and I am filled with relief and thanks. Here's a letter I wrote to my daughter
about our recent sailing trip with her grandfather and father. Your comments on this blog post -- as with any -- are appreciated!

Won't You Be My Neighbor?
Imagine if everyone on Earth saw every fellow human being as a neighbor to respect, befriend and value. Fred Rogers' heart seemed big enough to see this way: through the eyes of Love. So many of us were taught about kindness through this bold and gentle man. Now the documentary Won't You Be My Neighbor is showing across America. Watch the trailer here. I'll watch the film as soon as we touch US soil in three weeks... and cry with sheer and dripping glee about my enormous love and respect for this American hero.

Do you know a mama who's struggling?
Maybe it's a friend, a cousin, or maybe you are struggling with something today. Here's a reminder of how powerful it is to let ourselves be held in the arms of Mother Earth, a letter I wrote to Mamas All Over the World.

Prevention for Depression
I believe humanity would experience much more joy and lasting peace of mind if we lived the Village way. Less depression, anxiety, tension... More community, relating, laughter... I'm in! You too? My piece called Village, Our Loss Our Longing was recently republished by Pathways to Family Wellness. You can read it here.
Thank you for being here.
For breathing love into your days as often as you can.
For returning to choose love after every slip-up
and beautiful human mess you make.
You are treasured.
With wide open arms,
