When Sleeping Women Wake

celebrating Her in 6 months and today

My name is Jessica Rios and I am the founder of Leaning into Light and Making Love to Fear. I’m sitting here exactly six months before International Women’s Day, March 8th 2025, which is also my 50th birthday. 🥳

So today I feel inspired to share something with you, because women are spectacular and we are rising.

It is critical right now that women step into our power.

Not power over men or anything else. Power with all of life.

Real power. The power within us that grows and births new life. The power of the divine feminine. The power of knowing we make our own rules about our own bodies.

The power that heals pain and fear. The power of Love — our true selves, radiant, fierce, graceful, in service and self assured.

I believe the greatest leverage point for the evolution of human consciousness is women rising to own, to claim, to accept — essentially, to remember — our power.

And I love being a woman, and I want to support us to own the power WITHIN us!

Recently I came across a Chinese proverb that resonates deeply: “When sleeping women wake, mountains will move.”

It’s true!

When a woman who was not aware of how much power lives inside of her, becomes aware of it — powerful change starts happening.

That’s why I’m here. I help women do that.

I am a Love Coach.

What does that mean? Basically, I love humanity for a living.

Loving people is what I’ve been up to all my Life, as Love has been my religion since I was 8 years old. Then 20 years ago, I found a way to get paid for it, completing what is widely recognized as the coaching industry's most rigorous training program in 2004.

As a Love Coach, I use the great superpower called Love to help women move through intense challenges powerfully and gracefully, and come out the other side not just surviving — THRIVING.

Sounds like a nice idea, right?

Well, not only am I a coach but I’ve actually lived through this, having experienced years of severe chronic pain including a massive brain tumor which was removed in 2021, and now I’m on the other side thriving.

As I recovered through a decade of extreme challenges, I created a process called Making Love to Fear, and I now use it to guide coaching clients through a six month journey, working together to help them thrive — so they can face their challenges and feel FULLY ALIVE on the other side.

How alive are you?

Women who are ready to “make Love to fear” and feel fully alive — something most people, sadly, never do and then regret when they are actively dying— can join me for a live online Making Love to Fear Masterclass this fall.

My free 1-hour Making Love to Fear CORE Masterclass will soon go live. Subscribe to my newsletter to hear when it does.

There is a waiting list for my 6-week Making Love to Fear DEEP DIVE Masterclass. You can get in touch with me via email to be added to the waitlist, or subscribe to my newsletter to hear when sign-ups go live.

Don’t wanna wait? Ready now? I have three coaching spots available for women who are ready to dive in and work with me one-on-one, in a 6-month journey applying the Making Love to Fear process to your one precious life.

Celebrating you, every day, in Love ~

P.S. How are you reveling today?

Please, Womanhood, remember that you are as important as anyone else.

How will you give your body and soul pleasure, aliveness and joy today?

I can’t conscionably leave you without a song. Listen to it with yourself in mind, women. Sing it to yourself. See how that feels. Have you ever really, really really ever loved a woman? The most important person you will ever receive Love from is yourself.

Bryan Adams co-wrote this song for the 1995 film Don Juan DeMarco, starring Marlon Brando, Johnny Depp and Faye Dunaway. Back then I was 20, and though I liked being 20, I really, really really like being almost 50.
